Halloween and the like:

Soo...This is my midterm week, and yet another beloved holiday slips by going unnoticed, uncelebrated by the overworked student. It did occur to me today though, this is the last set of holidays I will spend in nursing school, and henceforth in Vegas. My gloomy outlook brightened at this thought so I jotted down a quick list (in the inside of one of my texts books) of all the fun things I look forward to for those carefree times that are, hopefully to come. Here it is: The Holidays: that will soon be list:
-Pumpkin patching and carving activities
-Scary Zombie movie watching
-Hot Cider Drinking
-Costume making/buying
-Fun Falliday parties
-Taking all the children I love: Fran, Owen, Ew-Bu, Esme...etc Trick-or-Treating
-Watching Christmas movies
-Knitting Christmas scarves for my loved ones
-Baking various Christmas breads and cookies for said loved ones
-Tree getting
-Going to see the Nutcracker Ballet
-Listening to Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack
-Buying Mistletoe, and then kissing under it.
-Living somewhere it gets cold.
-Drinking various spirited nogs.
-Planning and executing an entire holiday meal on my own.

It beats what I'm doing at this very minute: Eating a crappy Del Taco chicken taco, studying the GI tract of the elderly, and envisioning shoving my textbook up my instructor's ass.

Christmas has been close to destroyed by working at starbucks...its the taste of cider, the feel of wool and the smellof cold air and pine that excites me. I just realized how corny that sounds, but still true...
