Glory Be, another perfect day of vaca is winding down.
This morning I met Nate for coffee after his shift at the bar. I like our morning coffee time, though they have been few and far between lately. It's like two ships passing in the night. He is off to bed and I am just beginning my day.
The rest of the morning was a blur of reading, writing, and watching the light shift as it came into my room. A perfect lazy morning.
In the afternoon I met my friend/manager, Rhianna, for our second session of "Stitch and Bitch". I taught her to knit last week and now we get together once a week to knit, drink tea, and "talk shop", which sadly degenerates to gossip usually. Rhianna is from Australia. She enchanted me with her accent, but we quickly realized we have similar "dirty hippy" ideology, so now we are "mates" as she would say. She is 8 weeks pregnant and is making a little red scarf to bring the baby home from the hospital in. The Australian equivalent to being "knocked up" is "Up the Duff". I love this saying. It will be a regular in my vernacular.
Now I am home eating Watermelon in bed listening to Led Zeppelin. Tomorrow, expect more of the same, good night.
