oh the college life..

So last night I had my Asian Philosophy class. I like this class, though the teacher can be a little wishy/washy for my tastes.
Anyhoo, last night we were discussing wisdom being directly related to life experience in Asian culture.
And our professor asked us all to define, in one sentence, our college experience. He then collected the answers and read then anonymously to the class.

Now, all of 1hr before class began I was at the Coinstar machine at my local Albertsons cashing in all the change that had accumulated at the bottom of my purse. Coinstar and I have a pretty regular relationship. I find myself there on a monthly basis, right before payday, trying to scrape enough $$ for my coffee, gas, or a 79 cent burrito from Taco Bell. It doesn't even bother me anymore when I'm that poor. I've accepted my reality and am pretty grateful for the invention of Coinstar.

...So as I sat there with that blank paper in front of me, with such a vague question posed to me, I wrote the first thing that came to mind.."College is one more trip to the Coinstar."

The rest of my peers wrote things like:
"The best years of my life."
"An amazing growing experience."
"The beginning of my future."

I'm an asshole.

You're not an ass-hole. You're honest. "Best years of my life.." Who are they kidding? They are the ass-holes.

p.s. I'm at "Crazy Town" right now and I am not happy about that.
